About Apostle Charles

Apostle Charles Mutuku is the founder and senior pastor of Harvesters Global Church in Nairobi, Kenya, a thriving congregation that grew from thirty-five people in a rented upper room in Pangani into a church of thousands, now settled on two acres of ground at Ridgeways.

Born into deep poverty and a turbulent home, he survived hardship that would have ended most people, and through the faithfulness of God he was lifted from a cold floor in the streets of Mathare slums to become a successful architectural and engineering draughtsman and the founder of Kingsworks Construction, before God called him, against all his own resistance, into the apostolic ministry.

Under his leadership, Harvesters Global Church has become a house of harvest, where salvations, healings, and deliverances take place week after week. Out of the wounds of his own past, he has built enduring foundations into the church: a strong discipleship program that grounds the church in the Word, a mentorship program that fathers' spiritual sons and daughters, a government-certified Bible school, and a Marriage School that has helped many families stand strong. He and his wife, Pastor Gladys, also operate a retreat centre, “THE RAMAH HOUSE”, run on Christian values, where many families enjoy godly retreats and vacations. The Apostle and his wife also uplift the lives of many underprivileged people through their humanitarian organisation called “THE MERCY PURSE” that has built houses for abandoned widows, orphans and the homeless, as well as financing education for many.

Apostle Charles is married to Pastor Gladys, and together they have three children, Donell, Peace, and Naomi. His passion is a single, unshakable conviction: that there is a real God who walks with real people, and that no circumstance, however impossible, can keep a surrendered life from manifesting the glory of God.

He makes his home, and continues his ministry, in Nairobi, where the harvest of souls is still coming into God's kingdom.
